During the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the ancient city was called Yizhou. According to the Geography of Northern Zhou, "Yizhou was established by the Later Wei Dynasty and renamed as Yizhou during the Northern Zhou Dynasty." Yizhou was named after the Yi River. A rippling blue water system complements the ancient city, like the most dynamic ink painting, which is probably the full imagination of people who have lived in the city for a long time for tenderness and romantic life. The Yizhou Ancient City Cultural and Tourism Project is located in Hedong District, about 8 kilometers northeast of the original site. The tourist center visually conveys the culture of Yizhou, serves as the first window for people to enter and understand scenic tourist areas, and is also a unique postcard of Yizhou. The project combines the urban cultural label of "the hometown of the sage of books", deeply explores local characteristics to continue the historical and cultural roots, takes Dongyi culture as the core, integrates celebrities, scholars, and red culture, and relies on regional advantages to create a new pattern of "day tour of Mengshan and Yishui, night tour of Yizhou Ancient City".
